Today at school we started things off with attending a concert put on by the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and our very own BAM K-3rd graders. It was a great opportunity for the students to support our school community and listen to some talented musicians.
Back in class we worked on our Response to Literature essays and our Homophone riddles. At math we learned a strategy for comparing fractions that we dubbed the Q.C.D. (Quick Common Denominator). I sent a page about the specific steps of the strategy along with the homework.
In the afternoon we were lucky to have our first Art lesson with Ms. Landberg. We will have art with her for the next 11 weeks on Tuesday afternoon. Today the students worked on creating art placemats to use for the rest of the art classes.
