Square roots and word roots!

Make sure to have students bring back signed green homework logs and pink reading logs tomorrow. This helps me to keep track of reading progress and to make sure that you are hearing about the homework.

Today in Language Arts we continued to discuss clarification strategies. We focused on looking for familiar roots or prefixes inside words.

In math we learned about square roots. We talked about strategies to find square roots, both with and without a calculator. Tomorrow we will have a brief quiz on arrays, factors, squares and square roots.

Homework:

  1. Language Arts: Prefix and word meaning worksheet
  2. Reading: Read for 20 minutes and bring back signed pink reading log.
  3. Homework Log: Bring back signed green homework log.
  4. Book Orders: Start filling out and bringing back book order forms if you are planning on purchasing books. Book orders are due next week.
